Angel S. Buster, MA, MSc. has had many roles throughout her career. She is a graduate of Core Energetics in the Netherlands (2016), a school focusing on somatic psychotherapy, holds a Master’s degree Psychology and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University in the UK, her thesis focused on the Prenatal Origins of trauma: from despair to repair. In order to understand the earliest origins of trauma she has trained in a variety of somatic oriented approaches, including, Integrative Baby Therapy, Bodynamic Shock & PTSD Professional Training, Tao of Trauma (Alaine Duncan), NeuroAffective Touch (Dr. Alina LaPierre), and Formative Embodiment (Dr Jim Neil). She is also trained as an Emotion Focused Therapist (Greenberg) to Level II. Additionally she holds a Masters degrees in Education (2008) from Capella University, and a Master’s Degree in Health Research (2017) from Lancaster University, where she studied organisational health and wellbeing. She has worked at Deloitte in Human Capital in the Netherlands and was part of Deloitte University’s leadership faculty for over seven years. Until recently she maintained a private practice as a trauma therapist, and dialogue coach for leaders and couples. From 2017-2021 she worked on a PhD in Leadership Identity in Family Business, using dialogue as both method and intervention.
Her vision, mission, and approach is informed by her own early trauma and embodied experiences. She was born with a rare congenital birth difference called Bladder Exstrophy Epispadias Complex, as well as being ambiguous sex, in a time before trauma-informed care existed in hospitals and beyond, she has come to an embodied wisdom and understanding that babies really do experience pain, and our prenatal experiences play a much more significant role in our lives than we could ever imagine. These seeds of insight would ultimately lead her to uncover the roots of birth differences, which she came to realise was intertwined with everything, and connected to our spiritual evolution. Paradoxically, being born with her birth difference, attracted and perpetuated the same violations and threats to the body mind.
In this process, she has had to heal from a significant amount of trauma, which was imparted from layers and layers of trans-generational evolutionary suffering. Not only the trauma of her parents but also trauma from their parents, ancestral lineages, and, other karmic residue which has remained trapped as unprocessed ‘information’ in our historical womb.
Through her own research she has come to understand the imperative for us to take a variety of perspectives when attempting to understand illness, disease, health, and society in general. It is science’s overemphasis on empiricism which has blinded us from seeing the multifaceted, and sacred aspects of ourselves and our evolution as human beings. She now focuses on raising awareness on the outcomes of disembodiment, which is the main ‘dis-ease’ of our times. It is through embodiment that we actually reconnect to the most sacred part of ourselves, and through that discover the real truth of our existence.
A prolific writer and inspiring speaker, she is available for workshops, events, and opportunities for collaboration at individual, organisational, and national level.
